GOVERNMENT SCHEMES FOR ARTISANS

The government of India trains artisans under the SAMARTH scheme of the Ministry of Textiles. Around 28 artisans were trained under the SAMARTH scheme in Kishanganj for their traditional handicraft - Kheta. 

The Ministry of textiles gave artisan cards to approximately 50 artisans after the completion of the scheme to signify completion of the training and expertise in making Kheta.
